GRAIN ROT released on August 7, 2026 for Windows PC via Steam. It is already available to buy, so older preview pages that call it upcoming or coming soon are out of date.
Release status
GRAIN ROT launched on August 7, 2026. The confirmed launch platform is Windows PC through Steam. Beck & Branch Games developed the game and Neem Interactive published it.
Steam, the publisher's release announcement, and major game listings agree on the date and platform. That makes this a confirmed fact rather than a roadmap estimate.

What changed from the Demo period?
The standalone Demo was available before launch and participated in Steam Next Fest. The full release added content beyond the Demo, including new enemies, a boss encounter, elite encounters, Spark abilities, Elevator modifiers, additional Outpost progression, and two new biomes according to the pre-launch update.
The old Demo listing is no longer publicly available as of August 11. A historical Demo video can still illustrate earlier mechanics, but its UI, numbers, room progression, and enemy coverage should not be presented as a complete guide to version 1.0.
Is there a console release date?
No PS5, PlayStation Store, Xbox, or Game Pass date has been officially announced. The PC launch date cannot be reused as a console date, and a controller-support badge on Steam does not announce an Xbox version.
Follow Steam News and the official Discord for future platform announcements. Use “not announced as of August 11, 2026,” rather than claiming a console version will never happen.
